Wow...reading all the posts about those who hated Dourney is like Deja Vu from when Bill McCown was ousted from his slot in Greenville. I ponder...Who was worse? Talk amongst yourselves :)

McCown? Never heard of him. That must have been a long time ago. Durney was there four years and the GM before him was Jimmy Vineyard. Entercom didn't fire him. He fired Entercom. He was pretty popular.

Obviously, our friend refers to Bill McCown who, if Im not mistaken, used to be the PD at WANS through most of the 80's before moving to Florida. Jonathan Rush used to be his MD back in the day.

Since we're bringing up different managerial names from the past to bash on, might I suggest another nomination? Bob Nations.

Very good choice in the bashing department. I saw Nations last week, but didn't have the chance to speak to him. I doubt he would have been warm and friendly anyway--:) Very interesting fellow. I have worked for worse though.

Update on Jimmy Vineyard. He left Entercom to go to work for CC Birmingham.
Reports coming out of that cluster, he is a ruthless, predator with a constant hard-on. By the way, his wife divorced him about a year ago. Another example of the quality people who make up our industry.

Crazy ol' Bob should be very happy right about now. When Bob got canned, he started an agency. Durney never would recognize his agency and pay him agency commission. I bet that's all changed now!
