Heard that the Dowdy Group-Hammond (possibly whole company?) filed for Bankruptcy protection. Does anyone know if that is accurate?

Chapter 11 voluntary bankruptcy filings – for reorganization – lead to debtor-in-possession applications for the Dowdy stations. A total of 13 stations in Mississippi and Louisiana owned by various entities associated with Charles Wayne Dowdy have filed for D-I-P status at the FCC. The companies include North Shore Broadcasting (three stations), Brookhaven Broadcasting (two stations) and Southwest Broadcasting (eight). The properties include North Shore’s AC WYLK, Lacombe, LA (94.7), Brookhaven’s classic country WBKN, Brookhaven, MS (92.1), and Southwest’s oldies WTGG, Amite (96.5).
