Doxology contemporary version on the FISH Los Angeles

I happen to hear a version of Doxology on our local Fish station in Los Angeles every once and awhile. I'm wondering if anyone may know the artist. Kind of sounds like that it was a live recording similar to how the Vineyard ministry recordings sound.

You are thinking of The David Crowder Band. That version is on this CD: Passion Hymns Ancient and Modern, Live Songs of Our Faith (C) 2004 SixSteps Records.

Love that version of this timeless song. I have been singing it for years now and still like the lyrics to it.

I hooked over to Yahoo and then to Amazon to listen to part of the song. After listening to it, I realized that this particular version by DCB is not the one I was thinking of. The one I heard was faster and it sounded as if it were sung with several people.
But thank you though, I didn't know DCB did a version of Doxology.

Marc Byrd has a great rendition on the "Bridges" cd. I've heard it on Fish Atlanta once or twice.

I am glad you guys like it, personally the only word that describes the doxology is: BURN OUT! I heard that thing sooooo many times in churches as a kid - always after the offering, that I am really tired of it.

bruce-i suspect that we both grew up in high liturgical churches where the doxology was repeated by the congregation without any passion or appreciation for the MIGHTY GOD that we have a privilege to serve. (i grew up episcopalian).
the new versions of doxology by david crowder and the earlier kyrie by mister mr both reflect a personal passion for worship--not worship for the sake of worship, but worship because of a grateful heart to our loving GOD-david5258
