Dr. Art Mollen Off KTAR

Tuned into KTAR on Saturday at 2:00 expecting to hear my personal physician Art Mollen. Heard Dr. Sam Benjamin's voice. I remember him from a Pat McMahon show. Didn't realize that Dr. Art was being replaced. The website has been updated but if you dig deep you can still find a weekend lineup with Dr. Art's picture.

I checked Mr. Hill's blog to see if he was going to explain the change in programming. Alas, still no new blogs just the same from from January 2008.
 
If this new show takes off, and there's every indication it will,
Dr. Bart will have to settle for the likes of 1310 or 1480. ::)

Oh, and the last quarter hour (you PPMers take note) was just as
good as the rest of the show. Art discussed the new city hall--
or as Mayor Phil calls it, Edificio Sanctuario.

He even interviewed one of the construction workers, a dude who
was identified as Illie Galaylien.

No word yet on whether Sheriff Joke is planning a "crime sweep"
at that site. ;)
 
Was Mollen paying for the time? It really was a dud of a show in regards to callers and subject matter.
I felt like I was listening in on a Sun City party line.

On a side note, Mollen's daughter just married American Pie actor, Jason Biggs.

I would imagine that Mollen was paying for the time. What incentive does KTAR have to carry Mollen's show? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that Dr. Mollen is a great guy. His show could be interesting and informative when I listened to it, but certainly not the type of programming that draws in a lot of listeners.

I listened to the new guy last week and swore I was listening to a feed from New York City instead of KTAR. I'm guessing Aunt Edna nearly fell off her rocker, too.! :eek:
 
He can't be as bad as "Dr." Bob on KFYI. His show is nothing more than a product placement every 90 seconds.

And, its all the same old naturopathic nonsense.

I can't believe that KFYI can't find something minimally interesting to put on during that time slot.

Ooooh no, that won't work. Arizona doesn't go on daylight time
so the show would change its airtime twice a year and ooooh,
we don't know how to do that. Well, maybe we could run it live
in the winter......we're still trying to figure out how we screwed
up Coast To Coast UFOs on the weekend. ;D
