Dr. Chris on Kool 96.7

HI heard Dr. Chris on Kool 96.7 this morning. He was filling in and it was sad. He has become nothing more than a liner reader. I am sure he did not have a choice if he was going to accept the job at Kool.

Bring back the days of Dr. Chris and Hose Smith. That was great morning radio on KC101.

Dr. Chris just reading the cards. What a waste. He was great on KC-101 with Hose. Amazing.

That's the state of radio. BTW, I think his name was "Hozay."

What a geek am I....

I remember the great "Hozay" and his brother, "Hose B" <grin>

Seriously, Chris was great on KC101. It's ashame one must become a liner card reader these days :(

On a high note, I heard Mike Raub on Kool and he sounded like he had a little personality. I worked with Mike at WMMM-AM back in the 80's and he always had that spark while on the air.

Especially after giving new meaning to the words FOG AREA.
Those were the days.

wow..bringing back memories of HS...exit 8 on I-91.Everyone jumped on the fogarea bandwagon, with Hozay as the mayor. It was a standing joke every morning on the way to school. Chris had a great run on KCI. He helped bring it from "elevator music" format into the dominant top 40 station of its time in New Haven.

Of course, you have to give equal time to the famous "Rest-a-rea" as well as "Fog-a-rea" - that was back when radio was still radio.
