Dr. Dean Edell...

At the Broadcast Legends luncheon the other day, Don Curran, who took over GM job in early 60's before Mickey Luckoff, said he scrubbed 7 hrs of commericial religous programming off the station to start the conversion to News/talk radio. I remember the station was refered to as KG-D for many years. So KGO's news/talk format has survived for almost 50 yrs. Congrats to Curran and Luckoff for the long run

He is carried on XM, on the 2 channels that Clear Channel programs, but neither carry him live, One carries his show at 5pm eastern and the other later in the evening at around 8 or 9

Channel 158 will begin playing him live starting Monday.
