What is wrong with suggesting on the SFO board that Adam Corolla join Dr. Drew on KGIL 540 and 1260 from San Diego to Beverly Hills to Santa Barbara?!

I'm sorry ... you're absolutely right! Why not talk about an L.A.-based personality (with no Bay Area connection, except for a failed morning show) and the possibility of him going back to a program on some Southern California stations that can't be heard in San Francisco?

It makes perfect sense on this board!

Speaking of which, does anybody think that Big Boy from Power 106 should be picked up by 99.1 KGGI so that they can hear him in the Inland Empire?

Your comments are not taking recent broadcast history into consideration. As you recall, Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew hosted Love Line for many years. Since Corolla is out of a job, then I was suggesting Dr. Drew w/ Adam Corolla for the new KGIL 1260 and 540. Mt. Wilson Broadcasting (owners) recently improved their lineup, adding new shows, and now simulcasts on a huge Mexican powerhouse at 540kHz.

Folks, it's a perfect opportunity for KGIL to increase ratings, and also help promote their new sister station KGIL 540. Both stations cover the entire coast from Santa Barbara to San Diego. It's a tremendous opportunity.

However, it's up to them. But if you are going to post comments about this, if you could please state why you agree or disagree with the *CONCEPT* rather than attacking the poster.

 
but San Francisco and the bay area is nowhere near Santa Barbara or San Diego....hence not being relevant to the San Francisco board
 
thanks for the correction I didn't know he still had the syndicated morning show w/ CBS and that the contract had just been renewed. So, in that case, of course it wouldn't work to have Adam doing two different stations w/ different owners in the same market, L.A.

Again, I don't think anyone had a problem with the post itself, it just has nothing to do with Bay Area radio. San Francisco is well north of Santa Barbara, so it doesn't fit into the coastline you were suggesting made it relevant to this board.
