That's about the only explanation I could come up with as to why they would post this fluff story with the headline and spin they did:

Horrible journalism. That's essentially on par with The Sporting News getting a press release from the Philadelphia Eagles and putting "Eagles: A Strong Second Best!" with a Donovan McNabb photo on the front page... then mentioning further on down in the article that -- um, oh yeah, the New England Patriots actually won the Super Bowl.
And to think, R&R's style of journalism got praise in the Styles thread.
To me, this looks more like "PR&R" from the relentless Dr. Laura spin doctors!<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by StreetTalkinGuy on 07/29/05 05:51 AM.</FONT></P>
