Dr. Laura's time had passed years ago. So, this is no big surprise. I wonder how many other markets had dropped her like Buffalo and Rochester did.
In answer to a question from another poster, Dr. Joy Brown, whom I agree was much better than Dr. Laura, has been off WBEN for a while now. WBEN now runs Jim Bohannon from 10 to 1 weeknights. I gotta say this. I was out and about last night, and it was so great to hear a quality show like Jim's. I had forgotten he was even there! You know, as much as I once loved Rush, I can't listen to him anymore, much less Sean Hannity. But I was tuned in to Jim's show while in the car, and it was a pleasure to once again hear this guy whose longevity is quite astonishing in this day and age. Good information, interesting topic, good callers. It's talk radio the way it should be done. I just wish there were more like him on commercial radio and not the flamethrowers that are so dominant now. I'm not much of a radio listener at late night. But I just might try to tune in Jim more frequently.
