Not as obnoxious and stupid as Dr. Phil, not as nice and practical as Dr. Joy. But anyone who takes a radio (or TV) psychologist seriously is not that bright anyway.

Do you think any of these talk-show hosts are practicing unethically by giving advice over the phone to strangers?
By the way, Dr. Laura does not have a Ph.D in psychology or an M.D. in psychiatry. Her doctorate is in physiology. But do most callers know that?
She does project a mean spirit which is hard to reconcile with someone who is supposed to be healing.
Obviously, she owes her career to Bill Ballance for which she seems quite ungrateful.
Dr. Phil has said in several interviews that he was tired of his private practice in Dallas. So he practices on television ... for a lot more money.

It's not about what I enjoy. Clearly she's been on the radio for all these years because people DO enjoy hearing her beat the weak. You just can't mix personal taste with business.
