Dr. No on Spike TV and then AMC

Just lastnight I watched Dr. No on Spike TV's 008 days of 007. Then today while flipping around I see AMC has a promo for when they are going to premier Dr. No on their channel. Can't AMC show some other movies, leave 007 movies to Spike TV they do a fine job with them.

I was happier when those movies were on Encore. I can't stand watching ANY movies with commercial breaks.<P ID="signature">______________

AMC did pretty good with their Bondathon in August when they showed all of the Bond movies from Connery through Dalton in order in prime time, with the widescreen version on the second showing. The only ones that were left out were the newest ones with Pierce Brosnan.

Spike: Advertising w/ A Little James Bond

Spike is not doing a fine job with James Bond movies. They have turned it into a very special holiday advertising event, interrupted only occasionally by a James Bond movie. They have a spot load greater than talk radio or The Weather Channel. I watched 20 minutes last night and 12 minutes of it was commercials, eight was the movie.

Without commercials, how are you gonna take a piss, make a sandwich, smoke a joint, etc?
