Dr. Robert Jarvik, creator of human artificial heart, dies at 79

I remember Dr. Robert Jarvik in the Lipitor ads back in the 2000's and spoke on the medication at that time and how it improves or reduce heart attacks at that time.

Lipitor at one time and maybe still is the most prescribed drug in the USA A few years ago, there was a push to start prescribing the junk for children. Lipitor is a drug called a "statin". It is supposed to reduce the bad cholesterol, LDL. However, the data has been inconclusive as to its effectiveness. When originally invented, the hype was heart attacks were going to be a thing of the past. We still have them, don't we??? Lipitor has been and still is one of the most controversial prescription drug in existence.
