Just Another Remainder Table Book

Guess Howie can't take a hint - his book isn't very good and O'Reilly knows it. So, he is pre-empting Carr whenever he can.

Expect to find The Brothers Bulger on B.Dalton's "REMAINDER TABLE" by the end of March.

30 THE BROTHERS BULGER, by Howie Carr (Warner)

His book is at #30 in the NY Times Best Seller List. How's your book doing?

Just change your screen name to I Hate Howie Carr, willya? O'Really postponed him because the ports topic was so hot.

Bill O'Reilly rescheduled Howie to a week from today, so no Doug "Virgin
Boy" (aka Victor Bravo) Goudie fill in.
The law enforcement reference had to do, perhaps, with the arrest of
a state trooper for soliciting what he thought was a 14 yr old boy.

OK...for old times sake...

> needs a translator.
//////////.....Universal Translater Engaged: Howie was supposed to go to NYC today to be on Bill O'Reilly's TV show. (you know who he is don't you? he's the dope that told andrea mackris that he has a vibrator with the same name as his little daughter. Ok?) Well back to our story, Doug "VB" Goudie was supposed to fill in with another great show. But NO, vibrator man bumps Howie 'till NEXT tuesday night so...NO "Victor Bravo" filling in today! I,me, myself wanted to call in live (because that tub of lard Nancy dumps all funny chump line comments),and ask Dougie (as used by one of our loathsome Mass. State Troopers) if he looked HAWT in his little league uniform! See!..... It is to laugh!- - - -NOW wasn't it better described the FIRST time! - - -CLICK IT OR TICKET,....you CHUMP!- - - See Ya!

Wait a minute! I'm sure B.O. could publish his life's story (and posts). It would be in O. Henry's favorite form - the short story.

ROFLMAO! Great title: "How I became a radio legend and H-57 Hoodia sales pro - and you can, too!"

BUH-BYE!!!
Wouldn't wanna BE 'YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again and again and again, "You will never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the average American" H. L. Menchen. The world is in chaos and you come to praise a book about a two two bit gangsters.
A pure opiate for the masses and still remainder junk reading.

Uhhh...."Religion is the opiate of the masses"....you can look it up!

As Victor Bravo would say (or is it G. Gordon Liddy?), that "junk reading" crap is pure Bravo Sierra.

**DISCLAIMER** Although I haven't yet read the book, it is high time someone like H.C. profiled these 2 viscious bastard's deeds.

All the ingredients are there for success - Carr's style, which comes off as enlightened smart-ass, makes a good read to begin with. His research sources (Herald and other newspaper morgues, FBI documents (FOIA is your friend!), photo archives (see his "x-files" and "Whitey Watch" pages off his WRKO page! His years as a city beat reporter and columnist during these 2 Adam Henrys regimes would indicate to me that some of the juciest, best "stuff" couldn't be told in the book. And H.C. has good contacts in "This Thing of Ours" who lived thru the corrupt, murderous Bulger Years. Nothing like "being there", is there?

The Carr haters here are simply green (remember St. Pat's day is near - reserve those tables at Halitosis Hall!) with envy!

Ur right-

I must be having an identity crisis. First time thats happened on this list - not!

H.C. was never gonna make it outside New England. Street-kid from Somerville means very little in Burlington, VT, much less in Resume Speed, Indiana and in Washington state.

His small list of affiliates ebbs & flows, but its best he stay in his own backyard. He's made a nice career for himself. And his radio audience didn't "write" all his columns, after all!

Another truth is that The Dean was "ready for the dogtrack" when he got "taken out" by Howie.

"I'm Howie Carr - not Father Time." That's the quote of a lifetime.

And when Howie shows up at the 2 dollar window over at Wonderland, someone else will be waiting to put 2 in his noggin.

c'est la radio

Just more cheap tabloid trash from a cheap tabloid trash ink stained wretch who tries to pass himself off as a talk show host.

Waiting to see Howie on the Two Dollar Bill.

Moderator Smoke says your post should be gone because it's a needlessly attack against a host who has been on WRKO's afternoon for more than a decade.

Re: Just Another Remainder Table Book

That's his problem - been on the air for ten years and nothing to show for it. Carr will never make the Radio Hall of Fame unless they establish a trash tabloid wing.

I totally disagee with you. Have you read the book or excerpts of the book??? If you did, you'd be singing a different song, this book is very insightful into the deceptive, criminal lives of billy and his brother. Howie has dug up things that not everyone knows, perhaps you should read it before you comment.
