Dream Air Check Tapes

After 20 years, Howard Stern's last Infinity show would be a great air check. Also his first Sirius show as well. Imagine what you will hear on that first show. What personality locally or nationally would you like an air check. It could be a show missed in the past or a wishlist for the future.

My dream aircheck tapes are unscoped 60's tapes of WDIA, WLOK or WMC-FM, and other Memphis tapes from that time.

I dream of having a time machine to make them!!

That would be interesting tapes indeed. Imagine all that went on that decade. Kennedy's getting shot and dying, sanitation strike, Martin Luther King assassinated, Vietnam War. In 1977, the local radio stations must have been buzzin with Elvis Presley's death. I remember that day when they broke into programming on Channel 5 and went throughout the night. Last Sunday, Baptist Memorial was demolished. You never know today what you might have 10 years down the road. Amazing.

The fall 1976 WHBQ composite (on reelradio.com), a WMPS composite about the same time, WDIA in the 60's, FM-100 late nights during the AOR days, and WZXR about 1977.
