This summer, I will be traveling to Yarmouth,NS. Where do I start to pick up Halifax FM stations? I'm trying to decide if I want to take 101 or 103. Better yet, where do I lose Yarmouth FM's?

You start getting good reception around Bridgewater on the 103 or Windsor on the 101. Any further and it varies depending on the radio your using.
Yarmouth only has one station (CJLS) and they have a few repeaters. If you travel the 103 you have CJLS in Yarmouth and CKBW in Bridgewater. Both have repeaters to fill the gap in between. If you travel the 101 you have CJLS and 3 stations out of Kentville Magic 94, AVR and K-Rock. Also if traveling the 101 you can pick up stations from Saint John, New Brunswick from across the Bay of Fundy. Most of the Province is also covered by CBC repeaters.

You'll be amazed how many AM stations you can hear in Yarmouth ! Sounds like you're taking the "Cat" over.. Since there are no AM's operating in Yarmouth, everything from New England carries well over the water !

How many air miles is that--say from Boston?
