DSP-X Mini FM $999 ??

Don't know about the price... And having designed quite a bit of the current version of the mini (the SE), I am obviously completely biased. Nevertheless I will tell you in my biased opinion, that there has never been such a solid little processor at such an affordable price on the market before...

Yes, it could be more consistent, louder, etc. But for the price you pay, I think with the mini SE you get a really nice sound that no small station would be ashamed of.

Goran Tomas

Goran, would you happen to know what the average delay is in the DSP-X Mini SE when using analog inputs? The only info I could find is from all the way back in August 2005, when you quoted the DSP-X's delay as "11ms, add an extra 2.5ms if you're using soft bass clipper."

IIRC the delay from analogue inputs to MPX output is around 6mS.

I'll second Goran's opinion. I know i'm going to take some heat for saying it but i think it sounds better than the Omnia one and it's almost half the price.

As far as that price is concerned, it may be a misprint because the DSPXmini-FM SE is $1800 list.

The people who build it have an opinion of it, and it's a positive opinion? One would hope. Surely the other manufacturers who participate here old an equally high opinion of their products. It is after all opinions which make for different formats and good horse racing.

Well, That's no surprise! I certainly hope your marketing campaign isn't that you think your products are rubbish!

;)

OH! And I think the Omnia.one sounds better than the DSP-X mini. hehehe ;D
