DTV Delay: Effects in Indiana

KyDXIn said:
WSLM was on 98.9 and had a huge signal from "Radio Ridge" in Salem. I guess when Don Martin, Becky's dad, began to think about selling the big signal, he applied for the signal on 97.9 and ran the second signal as WHAN FM I believe. They still have WSLM AM on 1220 and this was a simucast of the FM signal.

Back in the 70's, I can remember hearing 98.9 on a regular basis on my old Technics receiver in Brownsburg with nothing more than a wire dipole hanging off the back. They did have a killer signal, that's for sure. Hope Don got some good bucks for it when he unloaded it. I was down that way not too long ago and flipped on 97.9, and the audio was simply horrible..it was muddy sounding and very distorted. Hope they got that fixed, but based on pictues I saw of the place, I'm not really all that surprised.
