Dual Broadcasts On A Singal Station

The subject of an FM High School station broadcasting two high school football games at once, one in the left channel and one in the right channel, came up in the engineering board. I seem to recall hearing of one such station in Texas. Anyone know which station it is? Can it be heard in the North Texas area?

Thanks,

R

Another station in East Texas does it. From what I'm told they were the first, but who knows. I believe it's KGAS? It's in the Center/Carthage area. They broadcast 3A-2A-1A games.

Re: Dual Broadcasts On A Single Station

Isn't it "Shine ALL 9". Not Shine on 9. As you said.

Yep, it's Shine All 9, and it's a good little station. I'm resisting the temptation to use the "Shinola" reference.

You are correct as well and I am a lousy speed typist.

KGAS in Carthage did this for years, putting the home town Carthage games on AM and one side of the channel, and another game from a smaller area school on the other side.

It sort of worked. The signal was definitely split, but some of the area schools were right at the edge of where you start to lose a stereo signal, thus making it maddening. I believe they have abandoned it in favor of internet streaming.
