Dude, You're Getting WLWC!

I don't know if Adam West does, but James Woods indeed has Rhode Island roots. It's the reason his name is on the high school. I want to say he's from Warwick.

Meanwhile, did WLWC-TV ever suffer from the channel 6 syndrome? Meaning that they're a New Bedford station trying to act like Providence? I think they were further south and east because of channel 28 in Rutland, VT (PBS).

This might be a case of apples and oranges. Where "Channel 6 Syndrome" always hurt WTEV/WLNE the most was in trying to get people to sample the local newscasts. Since WLWC doesn't have a news department (as far as I know)...I'm not so sure the "syndrome" is in play as much.

One thing is certain though....During the analog days, OTA reception of WLWC at my location used to be gangbusters....but now in digital....NOTHING! For whatever reason, I just can't pull up WLWC. They're still stuck down in East Freetown, near the State Forest. For ONCE....WTEV/WLNE lucked out, and were able to piggyback on the WJAR tower in Rehoboth for the digital OTA signal, which now looks just the equal of WJAR and WPRI.
 
And let's not forget former Providence mayor Buddy Cianci, whose likeness is attached to another school in Quahog...

As for Dell, he's a Houston native...
 
Michael Dell is a spectrum vulture hoping to capitalize on the FCC auctions. If my life depended on WLWC, I wouldn't buy any green bananas.
 
Will Ring of Honor(ROH)Wrestling still air on WLWC saturdays at 10pm? If they plan to still air ROH move the program to 12noon(either saturday or sunday) instead of 10pm.
