Duji OUT...

All info of her existence is gone from Rover's site. Maybe fired. Maybe quit. But, she does alot for that show (behind scenes) and I doubt anyone currently on it can fill her shoes.

Plenty of speculation on Rover's website..forum posters arent sure if she was fired or if she left..apparently either carrying or already birthing Rover's baby..or if she's just on maternity leave..who knows..who cares..

I haven't listened to the show at all since Shane reveled in Maxwell's departure. Quite frankly, Shane is so weighed down by the less-than-mediocre supporting cast he has (Dominic Dieter, Shawn Street, Mike Toomey, et al) that it's the 800-pound elephant in the room. Why else did he totally bomb in syndication and ONLY be on a third-tier rock station in Rochester?

Still, Duji probably did far more for the show than anyone else. Which is really sad. Not the best time to be a new mother; but then again, that was her call.

Nathan-

You have GOT to get over your hatred for WMMS. yes, MWL leaving sucked. That was when? November?

RMG does very well in the ratings. It may not be your cup of tea. Dieter, Toomey, and Street work with MOST of the audience. If they didn't the show would not have the ratings it does. Period.
So he doesn't work in syndication very well..does that make him a bad LOCAL host? Being #1 or #2 18-34 in Cleveland, does that qualify him for success? I would think so.

I don't think Nathan has to get over anything. If you want to get over your need to lord over people, that'd be fine, though.

Hey, at least I'm not "jaywepp" on a certain chat board, who posts mind-numbing minutia on what happens on some stupid sports talk show every... single... day... I forget who is the host, though... :D

No, Shane French is a good radio talent. A phenomenal local host. Trouble is, he has surrounded himself with people that have royally botched his success (it's not right to just blame the high expectations Howard Stern created with his departure, believe it or not). At one point, he needs to pack it in with the "syndication," which is again a simulcast on an 2nd-tier FM rocker in a market dominated by one Brother Wease. (Oh, and where are the stations CC was going to line up when he defected to WMMS? Heck, when is his so-called "new affiliate" going to be announced yet? Waiting...)

I also kinda quit listening after hearing one Dieter rant too many. I needed to preserve my brain cells.

Ohio Media Watch reports Duji is back on the show.

I'm not a Rover fan (nor was I a MWL) fan. But the numbers speak volumes. RMG #1 18-34 AM drive. MXL did very well too, often #1 or 2 PM drive.

Maybe I've become smarter in my old age.

No one has talked about whether this was all or in part a stunt. Maybe there was a real 'spat' at the beginning of this, then they decided to milk it for ratings and noteriety. That kind of thing's been going on ever since WWE/F owner Vince McMahon began taking bits of reality (like a "Superstars" real injury) and incorporating them into his pro-wrestling story lines. What's with WOIO news covering this? I happened to have seen one of their reports, and I have never seen such a "news report" that had no news, and it played like a paid ad or even an infomercial. First they introduce the characters, show a couple of shots of some "zany" antics, and then ask "Where's Duji?" When they get around to answering the question, all they have is the very lame: "Station management said you'll just have to tune in tomorrow morning for a full show." Nice plug. Nice commercial. Not news.

Shane was a Browns analyst for WOIO back in 2005 or so... yeah. Their alliance is justified, yet totally stupid. It also dates back to the Butterbean fight thingamabopperooney that elevated Dominic Dieter to a sidekick role on the show; Shane played Action 19 like a fiddle with that. Oh and 19 also "broke" the news that Shane would switch to WMMS (whereas trades and OMW had the scoop days prior).

How in the world Shane and Duji were able to work professionally during the entire time-frame of their relationship problem without it adversely affecting the show is quite admirable, if you think about it.

Nate, that's assuming there was a relationship problem in the first place. I'm not saying there wasn't, but I am keeping the door open to the idea that all of this was, as balloon-boy would say... "doing this for the show".

This was not a stunt. It's all true..for once. Seems like Rover got jealous and, like most teenagers do, flipped out. Kinda like de-friending someone on Facebook. Maybe Duji MADE him admit everything on air in order for things to "be cool" and have her back on. Think about it...he really didn't need to say anything at all. Especially since they already ended things. And I'm pretty sure he can't fire her anyways.
