Dumb But Brilliant. Say What?

When Tom Shane spoke at the A.I.R. Awards, he said his radio campaign would be freshened up this year. So what did we get? "He's dumb, but he's brilliant." It must have taken some of the country's best minds to come up with that one. I guess it has some deep meaning that I haven't figured out yet.

I will say that it's a line people probably will remember.

DULL, but brilliant

"He's dull, but he's brilliant." Play on words, clever because it's meant to sell diamonds.

What?

Re: DULL, but brilliant

I should have known someone else would have made the joke if I didn't.

Re: DULL, but brilliant

Nah, I thought it was "dumb" first, too.

Re: DULL, but brilliant

That's pretty much my entire purpose on this board. =)

Id say it works. We all think that he's dull and for the addy to actually SAY that is ten times better than taking shots at the competition like 'some guy and his kids' have in the past. It's almost beating them at thier own game.
