Dunes 102 at full power

It may be syndicated with the ABC Classic Hits format, but finally Cape Cod once again has its own oldies station, Dunes 102 (102.3). I noticed the difference in reception when I tuned it in, in Yarmouth and Dennis, and though it still does not scan on the dial in many parts of the mid-Cape area, the signal is still good with some occasional minor fade out near other local stations' towers. It transmits out of Truro at 2,130 watts with an HAAT of 266 feet. It is suprising that the signal is not stronger in the Mid-Cape area since it is mostly coming over Cape Cod Bay, but I'm sure at lot of people will not mind a little spotty fadeout, since Oldies 103.3 is not listenable at all or very weak in many areas of the Mid-Cape. Ironically, Oldies 103.3 is clear on the outer Cape where Dunes 102 is. It was the Mid-Cape (Barnstable, Yarmouth, and Dennis) that really needed the strongest signal, but welcome Dunes 102. :)

I did catch Dunes 102 this week while I was vacationing for a few days in the West Yarmouth area. It sounded ok but wasn't my "primary" listening station while I was there. That turned out to be Frank-FM. I think the only Boston stations I was able to pick up while scanning in the car were TKK and Mix.

Are you sure that they increased their height, and it's not just a result of the good band conditions over the past few days?

Sorry for post title

Maybe "full power" were not the right words, but better signal coverage, as far as I could see while I was on the Cape Cod, and according to the Radio-Locator coverage maps, the station does have better coverage with the higher HAAT and lower power.
