what happened? he was the nicest guy that i've ever worked for. i can't imagine any good reason for letting him go.

Ah yes, but this is radio!! Nice guys finish last! To be honest, I think it was a mutual thing. He was tired of all the crap and they probably thought he wasn't firing enough people.
