DX alert: E-skip from Colorado and Wyoming!! CRAZY!

Today, while several planes and helicopters flew by, Ch. 6 was having LOTS of activity. First up, regular CHEK Victoria was heard.

After that, only about 4-5 min. ago, I picked up E-skip from colorado, a nightlight, Rocky Mountain PBS from Denver, Colorado, distance 1018 miles, heard in English and Spanish with an in-house nightlight loop.

After that, KNAB was blaring in from Burlington, CO on 104.1 FM, 1155 miles!!! My farthest e-skip catch yet! Then, KIGN on 101.9 from Cheyenne, WY. (967 miles). Channels 3, 4 and 5 are getting hit hard with Es. KXXO wiped out by KSME Greeley, CO, distance 1003 miles!!

Just a mileage question: are you using distances from Yahoo! or Google Maps or are you determining geodesic distance? I have a great program to determine geodesic (sea level) distance using latitude and longitude from point A to B.

I am using a City-to-city distance tool.
