DX in the Bahamas

I was in the Bahamas earlier this month and took advantage of some DXing. I was surprised in Nassau by how clear the Miami stations were received, considering the Bahamian capital is probably 150 statute miles or more away. I did my DXing on the ship so its height may have helped increase line of sight. The transmitter for Love 97 FM (97.5 MHz) was within sight of the ship and caused lots of multipath (don't know their power, but the antenna was probably under 200 feet.)

I was curious to hear of other's experiences in the Bahamas, or even if any of their stations are receivable in southern Florida.

What about AM?

If I was ever in the Bahamas, I'd be looking for AM stations daytime from the eastern US with that great saltwater path.

I did some daytime DXn from Nassau Dec 2003. I did not make a log, but the more interesting catches were:

580 Radio Montecristi, Dominican Republic
1500 WKIZ Key West FL I think, all of 250 watts
87.75 (the former) WTVJ analog ch 6 audio, Miami---was surprised to hear it on a rod antenna

I need to find that cassette....

Wish I had spent more time with AM, but I remember quite a few Florida AMs during the day, though, oddly enough, none of the obvious Miami AMs like WQAM or WIOD. Two of the most regular catches at night were Raleigh's WPTF 680 and Nashville's WSM 650. Think I heard WBT 1110 from Charlotte out there as well.
