DX Road Trip: Elkhart, IN

I was in Elkhart this weekend and had the opportunity to DX these stations on car stereo.

99.7- WUGN- Midland, MI- Religious/Family Life Radio- 147 miles
102.5- WIOG- Bay City, MI- CHR- very weak/weak- 165 miles!
104.3- WOMC- Detroit, MI- Oldies- weak/poor- 155 miles

Most of what I concentrated on in Elkhart were translators. I had a few surprises here!
92.7- W224BY- Angola, IN- Sports/ESPN- weak under WNDV slop- 46 miles
95.5- W238BH- Kendallville, IN- Classic Hits/WAWK- weak under WTRC IBOC hash- 37 miles
99.7- W259BJ- Warsaw, IN- Cont. Christian/WFRN- weak under WUGN- 29 miles

101.1- W266AE- Coldwater, MI*- Cont. Christian/WFRN- 52 miles- Semi-local WRZQ in Warsaw, IN has been off the air for months now, leaving 101.1 wide open to the south and west. I've personally confirmed the Coldwater translator just north of Fort Wayne and heard them up to the Bristol exit on I-80/90 coming into town. So Elkhart wouldn't be much more of a stretch. However, there is a 101.1 translator in South Bend, which may also carry WFRN, but I didn't make it close enough to SB to confirm this for myself.

106.1- W291BQ- Plymouth, IN- Cont. Christian/WFRN- weak- 29 miles

Forgot one!

104.1- WBWN- Le Roy, IL- weak with country music- 175 miles.
