DX TV last night Ion TV on ch.32?

I never heard of Ion TV until last night. I'm just north of Lockhart was picking up channel 32 and was channel 49. I never got a call sign.

Is that the same Ion folks that were formerly known as PAX TV? If so, last I heard they were in bankruptcy. They were channel "68" here in DFW - but I don't know if they're still on or not.

They're out of bankruptcy now. They are just now finishing flipping all their stations to 720p HD.

KPXB-32 (49-1) in Houston.
KPXD-42 (68-1) in Dallas.

The tropo was fierce last night and into the early morning. You were catching KPXB/49 (RF-32) from Houston which obliterated local KDAF/33 (also on RF-32). In Frisco, I also lost WFAA/8 from co-channel KUHT also on RF-8 from Houston. A number of other stations from the Gulf region were pounding in, adversely impacting local D/FW facilities.

See the maps here predicting tropo episodes:

I think it was ch.32 (49) strange that I never got a call sign on the ID on my DTV box, I even tried on my HDTV and nothing. I had a hard time pulling in Austin last night even.
