For some of us, we have either relied on tropo, skywave or a very rare Es experience but my actual question is: Will the atmosphere put out this year like it did in the Super Tropo Event?
This preacher sounds like a nutjob. The world will end, just not in our lifetime.tfcwings said:yeah and there's some 89 year old preacher on the radio who says he's studied the bible and we've calculated it all wrong and judgement day is May 21, 2011.
So if something solar happens to knock out all skywave (ionosphere), wouldn't there still be groundwave for lower frequency applications, like AM broadcast for example?

The "preacher" saying the world is going to end 21 May this year is Harold Camping; the owner of "Family Radio",I'm not sure how many stations Family Radio has, but I know of at least 4 in Florida, most on the FM band,Camping also operates on shortwave out of Okeechobee,FLeskipper411 said:This preacher sounds like a nutjob.
