DXing IN SOLAR ECLIPSE

Having some sort of solar eclipse tonight starting at 5:25pm, most visable from Lubbock Tx, thru Flagstaff Az. and into northern california. Just wondering if AM DXing would be good as dispite partial darkness the AM stations will be on day power. (?)
 
Well, while I did not notice any unsual conditions this
evening, I must tell you of my late February 1979
Eclipse, which was total in Montana and Pac NW? Around
811-AM PST was the totality in Pac NW. Remember, at
this point the Sun was certainly already up, we lost
our night-time AM conditions, maybe 630-AM. So, within
10minutes of this 811 some of the SFO stations came
back, but the real action was on 1130, as CKWX came
booming in for around 10minutes. I was living on
the WestSide of LA at that time. Even while living in
Jersey during a %96 event on March 07, 1970, noticed
nothing unusual.

coverage of that 1979 Eclipse, if you look in

August 21, 2017 or April 8, 2024. Both total over a good part of the US.

But first we have to make it past December 21st 2012 ;D
