I mean, as part of the plot.
Last week I caught an old Columbo episode. In it he was scouring for clues in the deceased's car -- and noted that the car was loaded with Country cassettes but the radio was tuned to a Classical station.
It put me in mind of an old Kojak episode. In his office he had, hooked up, the radio from a car whose origin and travels were unknown but crucial. IIrc, he was punching up the presets and IDing the stations as, 'Yeah. That's Hartford', or 'That's Providence'.
Any other instances you folks can recall? Maybe from the movies if not from TV?
