DXing + Online Streaming

In the old days, when you DX, you sent a reception report to the radio and you would get a verification letter, but with today's technology and online streaming, how can a station know you are DXing and not just listening to their online stream? That would be cheating. I doubt stations today send verification letters even if you are truly DXing because they wouldn't know if you really DX'ed?

Remeber, not all stations have live streaming over the internet. therefore you can only catch it by DX if you are not with in the local signal range.
