Noticed from the Videos that you have an HD radio (same thing I use to DX as well),

Quick question, have you ever DX'ed anything in HD?
Here in College Station, I've Dx'ed KISS-FM in HD from San Antonio (over local KNFX), Other HD stations that have locked in in my radio are KPWT, KXTN, KROM, KSMG, KESN, KESS, KHFI (back when it was in HD, currently off), KBPA, KBBT, WRR, KLNO, KVLY and some others that I cannot remember. Still waiting for the HD Dx that will blow me away.

AM HD during the day is very solid on KBME and WBAP. Night time, it is a whole nother plain field.

I have had that stereo for awhile...and have yet to DX an HD station from Lubbock. It is a lot easier for you since you live near larger markets that carry HD signals. Out here in West Texas, the only HD signal that I know of is 89.1 KOHM here in Lubbock. There are none in Amarillo, none in Midland, none in Roswell or Hobbs, New Mexico, and none in Abilene or Wichita Falls. There is pretty much no HD stations that I know of from Albuquerque to Dallas, except for the one lonely HD station here in Lubbock (which might be a good thing in a way since I don't have to put up with all the HD hiss.)

Unfortunately, the AM radio in my car is messed up so I will never be able to attempt to DX AM-HD.

However, over January when me and my roommate were driving to Florida, I caught WQUE-HD in the Lafayette area. And another time when I was driving to College Station, I got KHFI-HD to lock in for a couple seconds when I was driving just a little outside of Waco.

I hope the day I succeed in DXing an HD station in Lubbock (If I succeed), I have my camera so I can catch it all on film. I'd say the easiest HD catch I could catch here in Lubbock would have to be KTYS in Dallas. That has always been my easiest analog catch from Dallas.

From here in Dallas (Valley Ranch, to be exact) I briefly received KOA/850 in Denver in HD one morning in January. And in late February, I got KMOX/1120 in St. Louis in HD one evening, again for just a couple of minutes.

I think I'd get WOAI/1200 in HD fairly regularly if not for KFXR/1190 being local.

I get those same exact stations as well from B/CS. KOA twice and KMOX came in and out once. HD light always is flickering every night.

WOAI is a hard one here. I have a hard enough time getting the call letters to show up.

The HD light blinks pretty often on many stations. I figure if-and-when analog radio shuts off and digital stations get a bit more power, there could be a completely new and different world for DXing.

(I even get the HD blink on 530 from Cuba sometimes!)

woah, woah, woah, Cuba has permitted IBOC?

to Eggs- your DX catches are cool; I believe you are the only U.S. DX er with video proof of you "catches" If not I apologize to all the other people with video Dx catches.
I DX a little mainly on AM trying to get the Texas stations from the Fla Gulf coast (Sarasota-Ft. Myers area) during daylight hours. Got an x bander from the Big D area, KLVI 560 Beaumont, and the pray per view on 1030 from Corpus- that's about it. But the stuff you are doing is cool on either the Texas or Dx board. Keep on keeping on. Vibe

I'm in Dallas, using the Visteon HD Jump. I haven't been able to receive 530 since spring. The HD light would consistently blink, but the signal would never actually switch to HD. (That happens any time I'm receiving a station that DOES broadcast in HD, but the signal's not strong enough.)
