DXing With The Remco Caravelle

The Caravelle was a tuned radio frequency circuit, basically a crystal radio with an audio amplifier, or possibly regenerative. Most of the cheap, and even not so cheap superheterodyne transistor radios had harmonic images. It seemed particularly problematic with the multiband radios, where you would hear the shortwave signals crop up on the BCB, as my neighborhood ham friend insisted it be called instead of the AM band.
