As Retro hinted, the 93.7 could very well be KSD (93.7 The Bull) in St. Louis.
As for 102.7, any chance that it could be the new Rhode Island Public Radio station? (the old WAKX). If the talk was more personality-based, I've got no ideas.
The country station he heard mostly likely took place during the E Skip propagation we had to Florida, Georgia, and Alabama between about 5 and 8 PM yestearday. I'm sure there's many country stations on 93.7 in those areas.
It's highly unlikely that it was Vermont. I've received over 1200 FM stations in the last 5 years or so here on the south shore, and I have not received that station.
I was able to get quite a few of the Cape Cod stations here in Natick, and I DID get something else on 93.7, but it sounded more like hip-hop/R&B. Maybe it was the 93.7 in Hartford. I know it has that type of format.
Hot 93.7 from Hartford was in here last night for a while, even with RDS and HD signals for a while. Besides them, I was getting HD from 92.5, 96.5, 99.1, 99.9, 102.9, 105.9, 106.9, and 107.9 from Connecticut.
90.7, 94.7, 97.1, 97.9, 98.7, 103.5, 104.3, and 107.5 from New York well in as well, some with RDS, and some in local like quality.
