DX'n to Houston from Port O Connor

Pretty good to listen to KILT out there at POC, I got Houston clearer than I could most Victoria stations from 30 miles south, kind of bad, but oh well, nice to hear it from way out there.

AM or FM? I'd think 610 would be quite an easy catch (to the point of not even being a catch) down in that area.

Both, I acually pulled in the buzz more better than I could 95 KVIC out of Victoria, I was able to pull in klde also fairly well. The Missouri City sticks came in the best. Only thing was, I was using a pretty cheapy tuner, I was right at KMAT's tower which was right at the coast line (Simalcast of KHCB) its a 40kw station and I was getting lots of multipaths from it. How well does a Super tuner 3 handle in that situation I wonder?

Most Houston stations come in pretty clear in Calhoun County...for that matter so do Austin and Corpus stations. For what ever reason, the Victoria stations have a hard time reaching into POC. When my station does broadcast's from POC, we sometimes have to get pretty creative to make sure our signal is clear on our P.A.

As a side note, all though I regually pick up signal's from the above mentioned city's...they begin to fade once I'm within 15 miles of Victoria. Guess thats why FM stands for "freakin majic" ....LOL
