I just wanted to let you know that www.dxsradio.com is currently being tested live! So far the software has worked flawlessly but I would like your input. The studio line is 713 589-2535.

Thanks!

I've been listening for 20 or so minutes now. First very good thing is that I didn't have to install any software. It just began playing. That's a must, otherwise I'd leave. I hate installing software just to access a site. So good one there!

On the website I keep clicking on the START/STOP buttons for the shows but they are dead links. Maybe it's just a graphic and not supposed to be clicked on?

The website doesn't tell what kind of music I'll be listening to. I am listeniing now and it sounds very varied. Good music though.

I'd like to see a video feed on the DJs. A cheap video camera shouldn't be too hard to hook up to stream.

Now for some crazy ideas from me!

I hear you play some country music and I think it would be cool if you ever do a road trip across Texas somewhere then film it and film out the window, and in the car of the drivers and personalities, as the Texas landscape goes by and then edit that in with music. Make this a "Texas Road Show" program.

That I'd look forward to watching/listening to. Stuff like that. It's unlimited to what you experienced DJs can do with the Internet and I look forward to things to come!

Excellent work!

Sounds good!
Will the stream be increased (to 128 kb/s) in September?

Using a format that doesn't require single-vendor software to play is a nice thing.
You got access to about 80% more 'at work' listeners that way.

I'm going to keep the bitrate at 64 for now. The reason is the limited bandwidth. The quality is an issue for some people but the more bandwidth the fewer listeners can listen at the same time.

This is an education for me! The "on-air" studio was finished today and I'm pretty happy with the sound. I'll post some pictures on the website next week.

Thanks for the positive comments! Much appreciated! I'll be testing the setup again tomorrow at about 10:00am if you'd care to call the studio line at 713 589-2535.

This has the earmarks of a John Trapane coment... Listen, the idea of DXSRADIO is to have a good time. Not inject myself into a living hell again! No offence to Pam intended...
