DYNAMAX CONSOLES...OPINIONS?

Just looking into these units, and I know there's been a lot of opinions on this console and that console and which one can hold up. Anybody have any experience with Dynamax?

We had one...It was not a good experience...From my personal expereince Having owned consoles from Broadcast Electronics to PR&E Radio Mixers... We got our best money out of Radio Systems. Got Four Radio Systems on the air and have had no trouble at all. I also believe that the Radio Systems have a better on air sound than the Dynamax ever dreamed of.

Ditto on Radio Systems. They are a popular college radio board-I have installed a bunch of them in the past. Colleges tend to have non radio people abusing their equipment and the RS consoles hold up well there.

On the other hand, we have had very good luck with our Dynamax console - installed it brand new a year ago and it's been rock solid for us..sounds good too..we're a lightly processed FM...no complaints so far.

Let me clarify my previous post: I was NOT stating that the Radio Systems board should be chosen over the Dynamax board. I was merely stating that I like the Radio Systems board. I have no experience with the Dynamax line.

We used a Dynamax MX10 L, the 12 L with 2 channels unfilled. It was very easy to connect inputs/outputs to and was just about bulletproof. Only complaint from me was some crosstalk between audition and pgm.

If you get one, drill some big holes in your table (1 inch) underneath the console where the chassis has holes punched-it'll really help it stay cooler.

Sold out in '96 (I'm sure you know) and moved to Missouri. Wife teaches college and I am at the Small Business Development Center helping startups and small businesses. It's very rewarding work and I can sleep through a thunderstorm now...almost. LOL! Last couple of times we drove "past" on I-55 we couldn't hear 94.5 FM. Anything going on you know of?

I know all about those storms, as you can imagine...The station has been off frequently, don't know why...JBI
