dynamax mx series console air monitor input problems

I can not for the life of me get the air monitor to sound right, 2 consoles, identical everything, even swapped the output board between the two just for good luck...

There is a severe high frequency rolloff, sounds almost like a de-emphasis on the monitor input. consistent on both units. i'm about to pull my hair out..

all the other inputs and outputs sound fine, only the air input is affected. Looking for any insight, besides to just junk the things..
 
You can always call Dave Strode over at SandiesUSA, the company currently producing the consoles. He or his techs may have some advice to help you out.

BTW: If you ever decide you want to part with one, let me know - I always wanted to give one a whirl.
