"Dynasty" reunion on CBS

I find it kind of interesting that CBS is airing a "Dynasty" reunion special, particularly since the series aired on ABC. I never watched "Dynasty" and I don't know what company produced the series for ABC. Does CBS now own the series as a result of all the mergers of the past years?I do remember Fox airing some sort of "M*A*S*H" reunion show several years ago. Of course, "M*A*S*H" originally aired on CBS. However, "M*A*S*H" was produced by 20th Century Fox, so I can kind of see how the special ended up on Fox.

Spelling Productions handled "Dynasty", IIRC. CBS also aired the "I Spy" reunion movie, "Bionic Ever After?", "The Odd Couple" reunion movie(Tony Randall & Jack Klugman), & "Return To the Batcave". "I Spy" originally aired on NBC, while "The Six Million Dollar Man", "The Bionic Woman", "Batman", and "The Odd Couple" originally aired on ABC. Meanwhile, "The Incredible Hulk" originally aired on CBS, while the three reunion movies based on that show aired on NBC. Go figure.

Guess it's just CBS playing to its stereotypically 'old' audience again.;-)
