Just flipping around in the car, and got a station on 98.1. They called themselves 98X, and played Cracker's "Low" into a sweeper about being "The Only Alternative".

A web search has this as KTLT, Anson, TX, located just outside Abilene- a little over 1300 miles from me. Not bad.

DEAD band here. It looks like the best Es today is 10 meters

Yesterday, had some Es but only one tentative ID.

93.7 w/ South Dakota fireworks superstore ads. Prob KWYR Winner, which is a relog.

I had 95.3 adult contemporary, 101.1 two deep and 101.9 w/ country but faded out before ID time. Dang!

I am not sure of your location crainbebo but those the dial positions and formats of the stations you listed pretty well match up with three stations here in Ft Myers Florida (southwest coast). 95.3 would be WOLZ which is a classic hits station, 101.1 is WAVV which is easy listening, and 101.9 would be WWGR/Gator Country. The first station runs at 90,000 watts I believe and the other two operate with 100,000 watts. Again I am not sure of were you were at when you heard these stations but maybe this info is helpful.

I am in Bothell, WA, near Seattle.

Thanks crainbebo. I will assume then at that distance you were not hearing the stations I mentioned. It was interesting that the formats pretty well matched up with the stations I mentioned.
