E-skip, two new ones! 6/17/14

After many days of waiting for more E-skip it has finally come back with a vengeance. Two new logs and possibly 3 or 4 if I can get IDs from them. I'll post those clips later.

5:49PM - 96.3 KLLL Lubbock, TX; George Strait's "I Got a Car", strong over KRCW Royal City, and ID "96.3 K-Triple-L". NEW #225, 100KW, 1333 miles. First ever station from Lubbock - I have two overall from the big city to the north, Amarillo. E-skip clip at: http://www.mediafire.com/listen/lznqd7y3c5q0gpd/KLLL_96.3_Lubbock_TX_from_Yakima_WA_6_17_14.wma
5:58PM - 92.3 KIJN Farwell, TX; in and out all during the session with religious talk show, and confirmed with an ad mentioning Amarillo (where their sister station, KJRT, is). NEW #226, 100KW, 1246 miles. E-skip clip at: http://www.mediafire.com/listen/izv0056ydyxonz6/KIJN_92.3_Farwell_TX_from_Yakima_WA_6_17_14.wma

UNIDs heard
95.5 UNID SSer with call-in talk and Norteno/Mexicana music, in and out during the session. Have a long clip that I will post later.
97.3 UNID mentioned "All 80s Weekends", faded more out than in. Likely Yes FM from Lubbock but will post the clip for confirmation, later.

Was tuning around on the FM sections of the digital portables, nothing but locals, even on the radio that got KPQ-FM via tropo last week or so.

Still figuring which radio has the best FM section. Superadios are generally known as being fair to good off the whip, but I think one of the digital portables might have an edge on the SR.

Got 95.5 KPHT Rocky Ford, CO around 8:10PM at 1042 miles for a relog. "Fly Like an Eagle" Steve Miller matched the playlist.
Also heard were unid 94.1 w/ Delilah (likely KMXJ-TX), 95.7 classic rock, and 88.9/96.5 were two deep at one point. Then around 8:20 just faded to zero. So 3 logs today, 2 new, and 2 I would like to ID from earlier.

Around 5:50 PM MDT, I saw something start to come in on TV channel 2. Saw a bit of something that looked a little like soccer footage from a sportscast.
Grabbed the little Icom pocket scanner, and had a fairly solid sync-buzz on 55.250 MHz, which then turned to about a 500 Hz beat, as two stations' carriers fought to come through. Looked like co-channel on 2, with a newscast trying to break through....likely it was Juarez again.
You could hear the Doppler shift between the two carriers, as the atmospheric path changed...sort of a warbling.
Pretty good for a "rubber-duck" antenna on a small radio. The TV was coming from the VHF LDPA on the balcony.

95.5 is only an unid and will always be an unid. World Cup talk only in that clip. :(
