Eagle Doing Well At The Beach

Interesting to see Eagle 92.9 doing better in the ratings compared to NASH 106.5 here at the beach with Eagle 92.9 being a Florence station. We all know WEGX has a strong signal making it all the way to the coast.

I remember when The Big Yak 103.1 was the only country station in the market and did great. Then Gator came on right and just killed them. Yak tried a rebrand with new calls and logo for the Wolf (apparently same music/talent?), but someone in Charleston called the Wolf sued/threatened so they went with Coyote. However, they already had the call letters changed to WLFF.

I think. It's been a while.

Anyway, after all that comedy, they got bought by a bigger corp who switched their country format to the 106.5 frequency because it was 50k, and they took the Sunny format to the former YAKs 103.1.

And now this. WYAK/WLFF was a legendary station for a while, it's hard to figure out how they fell so hard.

Wasn't the last branding on 103.1 called K 103 with the format being country? Then moved the format to 106.5 as The Wolf then The Coyote due to Wolf named being used in Charleston. Now since Cumulus started the Nash branding 106.5 uses that name.
