Eagle - really the format?

Ok, since the other Eagle thread is totally hijacked, I figured I would start a new one.

So what's up with no website? I know it has been said that the web guy is on vacation. (Still? If he has this much time for vaca, maybe CC needs to cut a little deeper -- I kid, I kid...). Anyway, it's not like CC does much except find a station with the same format, change the station name, and post. e.g. kdge.com / ktbz.com

Plus the station personality/playlist seems a little off for something that's supposed to be around long term - especially in the same city as co-owned KDGE.

No inside info here, just curious. Thoughts?

I have gone over the EAGLE'S play list a few times since the flip... it seems pretty right in line with another station, a successful ACTIVE ROCK station, that I know of. There are some differences. And there are a few things that I would change personally. However, they are just playing a certain list of tracks right now. Programming with not much thought put into it. But when Vince get's in the building... we will see what he does. I would hope he would add a mix of harder rock tracks within the play list... but thats just me.

I'm getting suspicious about all this... Either They Kill the Edge or this is just a Stunt OR
Both stations will sound practically the same...

Its all confusing

There is always room for more than 1 rock station. Besides there is a difference between the 2.

Seriously? Have you been hearing what they are throwing down lately? It's been old KDGE and old (version 2) KEGL gave birth to the kissing cousin of Z rock. ;D

The one thing I did hear the other day was... ERASURE. I'm sorry....but... WHAT THE HELL? It was a horrible segue way into and out of. ERASURE? Come on.

And then there's the Edge 102.1-2. And what 92.5-2 airs.

So, from time to time, you just never know what you might hear!

Speaking of things sounding the same, I want to say that 5 or 6 of the bands featured on the 2-Hour "SNL - The 90's" retrospective -- really did sound the same, to me. Like it was the same song... by 5 different bands.... Yeah... that's what The Edge is... to me. :p

Dale Hanson propping up Rod Stewart tonight at Victory Plaza.....

Can we please get some Hard Rocking music. I'm so very tired of what "The Man" wants me to hear !!!

I said from the get go that this was all a little fishy. Even CC's latest flip has a somewhat CC looking website with the CC legal stuff at the bottom etc... www.myfm925.com
All www.kegl.com has is an old bumper sticker. I just saw that CC's Sunny KODA (AC) Houston hit 2 million in cume for December. Granted, some of that is holiday music but still... I don't think 97.1 or 92.5 are safe from AC or smooth jazz. Now, if CC wanted to sell a lot of HD radios they could put the Eagle and it's "new" website on HD-2 after this tease?? Possibility???
