Eagle Up For "Oldies Station Of The Year"

Check out the stations nominated for the Marconi award for best oldies station... among them is WXGL/107.3 The Eagle! You know, the classic rock station that masquerades as a "classic hits" station? I guess this nomination means WXGL truly is a "classic hits" station.

In other news: How come the Marconi Awards organization hasn't updated the category to "Classic Hits Station Of The Year"?
 
Holly S***, i haven't laughed that hard at a piece of radio news in a while. "True Oldies Channel", Sunny FM or Q105 I could understand because they are actually Oldies stations. My vote for best oldies station goes to Sunny FM, not a station like The Eagle. Personality, Soul, R&B, Motown, Disco and Classic Pop is everything The Eagle lacks. Plus they hardly play any 60's music.
 
Wait a second. THE EAGLE, the station with THE GREATEST 200 CLASSIC ROCK SONGS IN A ROW and virtually NO DJs, gets IN! But stations like q105 (barring WOGL) do not?

A friggin joke. Who "selects" this nonsense? Same old tired 200 rock songs over and over and over....."station of the year"??!!!
