First "Monday Night Football" was on ABC and even helped establish the network as a credible competitor instead of an also-ran.
Then it got bumped to co-owned ESPN, with games involving a market's home team still be shown on the local ABC affiliate (in Philly's case, 6ABC).
But tonight, the Eagles game (at home against the Carolina Panthers) is on WPHL17. 6ABC is staying with ABC for "Dancing with the Stars" and "Castle." It's a sweeps period. Has somebody decided that football is not the ratings draw it used to be?
