Says so on the station's "new" website sub-page (that still says "Live 105.3" but has been reformatted with the new sports talk schedule:)

"105.3 The Fan is one of Dallas' favorite, most powerful sports talk radio stations..."

WOW!! After just two days on the air!!

The station seems to have a more light hearted feeling now that it has changed formats. Jagger has his crosstalk with Greg and Kevin who then have a crosstalk with Ben and Skin who then have a crosstalk between M-Rod and his co-host.

It seems like these people really want to work together and they seem to have fun doing it. The station seems to feel like it has a black cloud that just lifted away.

and I would argue it's a lot of people just happy to have a job. If the station had an identity crisis before then it is really up the creek now.

Jagger and crew can't carry a morning show on a sports driven station and that is not a knock on them. They just can't draw in the crowd that the station needs. Think about it - how many people will tune in to hear Jagger and company wax poetic about the cowboy game or nascar or the BCS. This market has enough sports already that I can't see much if any cross over from the audience of Jagger to the rest.

I would sound happy to at my job is the company told me we were no longer doing what I am trained to do and fired a chunk of the staff, but I can stay on and see if I can find a place.

Also, much like Russ, Jagger show doesn't really have another place on the dial, there is no more "hot talk" out there. I don't see needing the entire "mafia" to talk for 2 min in between songs and commercials. Much like another hot talk cast off....

And did this black cloud make 7 figures and has RDM as it's initials? ;D

Sorry, just couldn't resist ;) ;) ;) ;)

Seems a strange fit to have an openly gay host on a sports station. Just to be clear, i could care less if he is gay...i just meant that it's not common for a gay host to be on a sports station.......

Not that I care either way, but what compelling information do you have that supports your claim? It's a fact that most gay people keep that portion of their life to themselves.

Ya know, who cares if chris jagger is gay or straight, he seems a bit more at ease now as well, seeing the #1 cause of problems at KLLI is gone.

The only reason they kept Jagger is because they can't afford to dump 95% of their audience overnight. I suspect he's around until the next ratings book comes out (so they have some numbers to show to advertisers), then he gets dumped for GIBSON AND GONZO, or some other such asinine sports-oriented morning show.

It's also not common to have a female color commentator - then the Yankees hired Suzyn Waldman...

It's also not common to have an African-American commander-in-chief - that will change too in 40 days...

No, looks like they'll still be broadcasting NASCAR.

You guys are really good at making stuff up.

The reason they kept Jagger is because he had the best ratings out of all the other shows. Russ Martin wasn't even number 2 at the station.
