Early, but...FM Frequency of The Week: 105.5

In Vermilion, OH it is just mostly IBOC from WMJI 105.7 in Cleveland. Otherwise it has been until recently only WWWM/Sylvania, OH (Toledo) with a varying signal under WMJI's hash. Now there is a new 105.5 in Windsor, ON which broadcasts CBC French as CBEF-2 (also heard on 103.1/Leamington and 540/Windsor) I've never heard the Conneaut, OH 105.5 from here.

Adding in Portland, OR reception. I get KUKN Longview and a CSN translator, mixing. Still nothing in Seattle (KCMS 105.3 IBOC).

Most likely not too much in the way of help here, Crain, but, you asked.
WMGH 105.5 Tamaqua PA -- Magic 105.5 -- is the sole occupant, from about 20 miles off. They're an A/C station, with annoyingly wound-up processing. (Word is that they did a terrific job during Hurricane Sandy, though!)

Two things about them : They are the big-sister FM to the little directional daytime Oldies 1410. WLSH 1410 traditionally has gotten whatever format the FM has cast off.
Yet, it has been WLSH -- not WMGH -- which has shown up in any ratings book. WLSH and the huge T-102 show up in 0.4 land in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton book.

WMGH opted for the height, not the power. There are lots of holes in the signal. I would estimate that 2/3rds of the time I drive up the hill to my house, rocker WQXA from distant downstate York PA on 105.7 wrecks them.

KPLU's 105.5 Mount Vernon, WA translator (K288GG) is still on the air. Do you get anything from it?

Not until I hit Edmonds along the waterfront.

Within NW Indiana, it's WJLE Valparaiso, IN. Once in fringe coverage on the Illinois side, it's possible to get WYKT Wilmington, IL.
