Only a few markets are in and here's what we can gather...

In Detroit and Philadelphia, WNIC and WSNI respectively did not have up trends. These were two of the earliest flippers to Christmas. NIC starting on 11/1 and SNI a few days later. KOSY in Salt Lake will be the next one to look at. In fact, both of these stations main competitors..WMGC in Detroit and WBEB in Philly..gained listeners...

way, way too early to tell

WAAAAY too early to draw any conclusions. The Trends that have been released only reflect a portion of November.

WMGC in Detroit hasn't gone all-Christmas (yet), although according to the station's playtlist, as published on Yes.com's, WMGC has been about 50% Christmas music today (December 16th).

Yes..and a portion of a month these stations should have seen a spike if going early was the right thing to do. WNIC will probably get a huge spike in December as will WBEB. But isn't the reason to go as early as WNIC and Sunny did is to get established early as the Christmas station and get an even earlier spike?
