Early morning DX in Austin

Was driving around north Austin at about 5am, receiving a few San Antonio stations, with some Houston, as well as KLNO Fort Worth (fighting with KTFM Floresville/SA for the 94.1 frequency)--that's pretty usual for me.

What was unusual was that in the absence of Bob FM at 103.5 (off the air this morning), I was able to receive KVSP (Power 103.5) out of Oklahoma City pretty clearly for a few moments...after that, it was competing with a Spanish-language station for the frequency.

Very nice opening this morning. I worked 2m ham into S. Texas from Memphis without any effort.

At 1pm, am hearing Dallas FM underneath Little Rock on 100.3 on my car radio. ~ 440 miles. That certainly bodes well for later.

Another good morning driving in Austin...Bob FM was back on at 103.5, but around 5:20 this morning, I found three stations competing for the 92.3 frequency. Two were somewhat close (KQVT Victoria, KNRG New Ulm), but the third was WDVW Laplace/New Orleans (Diva 92.3). Diva came in sporadically for at least an hour (then I got home).

had a lot of Texas FM's coming in this morning here in central Alabama, too. I heard KLTY from Dallas-Ft Worth area for about an hour.
