Early WCCO-FM Airchecks & Really Old KD Jingles

Unfortunately, I have a real job besides updating the Twin Cities Radio Aircheck web site. I am sorry for the delay, but very shortly I will post additional airchecks of early WCCO-FM, including the broadcast of the ribbon cutting celebration of the new studios and the switch to 100,000 watts.

For now on the Recent Additions Page, you can listen to very early KDWB Jingles. The theme was "Color Radio." There were lots of truphets. I also includedthe famos "63....That's Easy to Remember" This is a tape of a transcription recording. I cannot remember whogave me the tape, but I think it was Rob Sherwood when he was at KD.

More stuff coming, and I will try to post new material quicker. Keep checking back ocasionally. www.TwinCitiesRadioAirchecks.com Don't forget RadioTapes.Com

Just trying to perserve some Twin Cities Radio History from Palm Springs.

Hey, I'm looking to hear anything from the Twin Cities from between 1977 and June 1980 (Especially any morning stuff from Feburrr-ary 1979 and 1980).

Why 1977 to June 1980? Well, 1977 is the first year I remember listening to the radio in the Twin-Cities, and we left in June 1980.

Here's some airchecks that should be put up soon in that era:

Jeff Pigeon/Dan Walker, KSTP, June 1978

Hines & Bush, KSTP, August 1979

Knapp & Douglas, KSTP-FM?, March 1980

Ed O'Brien/Dave Thompson, KDWB, April 1980?

Tom Ambrose, WCCO-FM, April 1980?

Hines & Bush/Steve Shannon, KSTP, April 1980

That's all according to www.bigappleairchecks.com.

That's all I can think of for airchecks between 1977 & 1980. Let me know what happens.

Ah, Bigappleairchecks! An excellent website, I think I have one of those somewhere (he has some stuff from me too, but not from MN).

Does anyone have any of the late Dean Spratt air checks for when he was on WCCO? (AM)
If so, please send them my way.

-Rob
